He highlighted that this community spirit is particularly evident during events such as Eid celebrations, where the cooperation among the people is exemplary.
Referring to the preparations for this year's Eid al-Adha, Zareer stated that 95 percent of the necessary work has been completed. He noted that the efforts are proceeding with great enthusiasm and energy. He further highlighted that the entire island is actively involved in the process, with the community working together in various organized teams.
Furthermore, Zareer stated that a large number of visitors are expected to travel to the island this year, similar to last year, with over 2,000 people anticipated to arrive for the Eid holidays alone.
I estimate that Kamadhoo will host approximately 2,000 overnight guests this Eid, taking into account the additional bed capacity added this year. Furthermore, we anticipate around 500 day-trippers visiting the island daily. These projections are based on the visitor statistics recorded during last year's festivities.Hassan Zareer, President of the Kamadhoo Island Council
