A Maldivian residing in Malaysia informed RaajjeMV that the embassy has been contacting Maldivians living in the country to coordinate celebrations for Eid al-Adha.
He stated that he is seeking assistance to celebrate Eid al-Adha on a grand scale. He noted that if financial contributions are not possible, he encourages the donation of traditional food items typically enjoyed by Maldivians during such festive occasions.
He noted that Maldivians in Malaysia have a long-standing tradition of coming together to celebrate occasions such as Eid, adding that they have never previously had to reach out to the embassy to request such assistance.
