Accusing the current administration of attempting to dismantle the decentralization system, President Nasheed stated that the primary responsibility of the MDP is to change the government as soon as possible. Highlighting the efforts of the people of Thinadhoo for justice and prosperity, he called for collective action to return the MDP to power.

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that the current priorities and responsibilities are clear: to bring an end to the administration of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Speaking at the "Bodu Badhalu" campaign rallies held simultaneously in Thinadhoo and Malé, he stated that this administration must be brought to an end as soon as possible. President Nasheed further asserted that, God willing, the MDP would achieve this goal.
Speaking at the gathering, Nasheed highlighted the pivotal role Thinadhoo has played in the activities of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), both prior to and following the party's ascension to power.
Nasheed stated that Thinadhoo had taken the lead in spearheading numerous initiatives for the MDP across the Maldives. He further noted that the people of Thinadhoo have been steadfast in their efforts to seek change, driven by a desire for justice and prosperity.
Furthermore, he noted that Thinadhoo was among the communities most severely impacted by the current administration's actions, which he claimed were in direct violation of the decentralized system of governance. President Nasheed stated that it was clearly evident how the government had attempted to dismantle the decentralization framework and exert undue control over the system.
"The government attempted to overpower the system and dismantle decentralization. This was very clearly evident," President Nasheed said.
Nasheed stated that he would undertake the necessary efforts to return the MDP to power. He further emphasized the importance of everyone working together in unity to achieve this goal.
