Government has failed to achieve anything, and all ongoing projects have come to a complete standstill: Ihavandhoo Moosa Manik
Moosa Manik, a key supporter who campaigned to bring the current administration to power, has expressed deep concern over the suspension of development projects in Ihavandhoo and the significant challenges residents face in accessing essential healthcare services. He further alleged that the government is neglecting the public, claiming that while employment letters were distributed for political leverage ahead of the council elections, those appointed have yet to be mobilized for work.

Moosa Manik, a resident of Ha. Ihavandhoo who actively campaigned to bring the current administration to power, has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s government has failed to initiate any new projects in the island and that all ongoing work has come to a complete standstill.
Speaking to RaajjeTV, Moosa Manik highlighted a severe shortage of essential medicines. He stated that the current administration has failed to initiate any projects in Ihavandhoo, despite making 14 specific pledges to the island. He further noted that all development projects initiated by the previous government have come to a complete standstill. Emphasizing his long-standing support for the PNC, Manik remarked that he has been a dedicated campaigner since the DRP era, working tirelessly to secure the presidency for Dr. Muizzu and to elect the current Member of Parliament.
The government has spent all its funds on a private group that came here under the guise of protecting birds, while completely neglecting us. We have been utterly marginalized. Even our elected representative here is as good as non-existent.Moosa Manik
He stated that leading up to the local council elections, jobs were made available in abundance. He noted that employment was being granted to anyone who requested it, with positions being distributed freely. Furthermore, he mentioned that Aasandha medical coverage was also provided without restriction, and that there were three or four individuals specifically tasked with the distribution of these jobs.
Three or four individuals close to Muizzu were involved in distributing jobs. They would enter homes and ask residents if they wanted employment. After collecting ID cards, they would hand out appointment letters, yet the recipients were never actually called to work. In this island alone, about twenty people were issued such letters. We have no idea what is happening; all we know is that despite receiving the letters, they cannot start their jobs. I sacrificed my life and soul to bring this administration to power. Senior party officials used to visit my home regularly for meals and hospitality.Moosa Manik
Moosa Manik stated that the situation is deteriorating significantly. He alleged that while the government publicly claimed to support "Dhooni," their actual efforts were directed toward ensuring the election of a different group to the council.
