Mayor Adam Azim Welcomes Renowned Religious Scholar Sheikh Asim to the Maldives
Renowned religious scholar Sheikh Asim Al-Hakeem is currently visiting the Maldives to deliver a series of lectures across five cities, an initiative organized by "The Traveler." The lectures are scheduled to take place in Kulhudhuffushi, Male', Addu, Fuvahmulah, and Thinadhoo, with each session featuring a dedicated Q&A segment for the public. During his visit, the Male' City Council also met with the Sheikh to brief him on their ongoing efforts to promote and expand religious activities within the capital.

Male' City Mayor Adam Azim has met with and welcomed renowned religious scholar Sheikh Asim Al-Hakeem upon his arrival in the Maldives.
Male' City Mayor Adam Azim and the Male' City Council's Islamic Consultant, Sheikh Ilyas Jamal, attended the meeting held at the Velana International Airport VIP Lounge.
During the meeting, Male' City Mayor Adam Azim expressed his great pleasure in welcoming Sheikh Asim to the Maldives, noting that the nation places a high priority on religious matters. The Mayor further highlighted the specific efforts being undertaken by the Male' City Council to expand and strengthen religious activities and awareness within the capital city.
Sheikh Asim’s visit to the Maldives is aimed at conducting a series of special religious lectures across the country. Organized by "The Traveler," these sessions are scheduled to be held in five different cities throughout the Maldives.
The first lecture is scheduled to take place in Kulhudhuffushi City on the night of April 28. This will be followed by a session in Male' City on April 29. Furthermore, according to the organizers, a lecture is set to be held in Addu City on April 30, while the final session in Fuvahmulah City is scheduled for the night of May 1.
Thinadhoo City has been set as the final destination for this series of lectures, with the session scheduled to take place on the night of May 2nd.
According to the organizers, a Q&A session will be held following the lectures to provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions.
