Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem to deliver lectures across five cities in Maldives
A series of special religious lectures is scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 2 across the cities of Kulhudhuffushi, Male', Addu, Fuvahmulah, and Thinadhoo. Organized by "The Traveler" in collaboration with respective city councils, the program will conclude its final session in Thinadhoo City. Renowned global Islamic scholar Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem is scheduled to deliver religious lectures across five cities in the Maldives.
Organized by "The Traveler," this expedition is being conducted under the title "Assalaam Alaikum Maldives."
The first lecture of this tour is scheduled to take place at the AEC Hall in Kulhudhuffushi City on Sunday night, October 28, at 8:30 p.m. Following this, a special lecture is slated to be held at the Artificial Beach in Male' City on Monday night, October 29, at 8:30 p.m.
The lecture in Addu City is scheduled to take place at City Square on Tuesday night, April 30, at 8:30 p.m. A subsequent lecture will be held in Fuvahmulah City on Wednesday night, May 1. The final lecture of the tour is scheduled for Thursday night, May 2, at 8:30 p.m. in the Thinadhoo School Hall in Thinadhoo City.
This initiative consists of a series of religious lectures organized by Muslim Voice for Peace (MVP) in collaboration with the city councils of the Maldives. Sheikh Assim bin Luqman Al-Hakeem is a prominent Saudi Arabian Islamic scholar and preacher based in Jeddah. He is widely recognized for delivering lectures and hosting question-and-answer sessions in English. He maintains a significant presence on social media, particularly through his active engagement on his YouTube channel and X (formerly Twitter) account.
Born in 1962, Asim is a Saudi national. He earned a degree in Linguistics from King Abdulaziz University in 1987 and later obtained a Higher Diploma in Islamic Studies from Umm al-Qura University in 1998.
Asim served as an imam at a mosque in Jeddah for over 20 years. He gained widespread recognition through his weekly Q&A sessions on Huda TV, his contributions to Peace TV, and his various online programs across social media platforms.
