President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu established the "Citizens' Complaints Bureau" on Thursday, a 24-hour service dedicated to addressing public concerns and grievances.

The government stated that the establishment of this bureau within the President's Office is a significant initiative aimed at ensuring the administration remains closely attentive to the voices of the people.

The President announced the establishment of such an office while delivering this year's Presidential Address to the People's Majlis on February 5.

According to the President's Office, the bureau is scheduled to commence its practical operations by mid-year. Efforts are currently underway to finalize the necessary administrative arrangements and recruit the required staff to ensure the bureau becomes operational.

The primary responsibility of the Citizens Complaints Bureau is to manage public grievances submitted through various platforms using a centralized digital system. Furthermore, the Bureau is tasked with coordinating with relevant government agencies to gather necessary information and ensuring that all complaints receive timely and efficient responses.

The President's Office has announced that a 24-hour call center will be established under the bureau as part of efforts to further expand its services. According to the government, this initiative will ensure that citizens have the opportunity to bring their concerns to the government's attention at any time.
