President Muizzu is unlikely to secure the presidency of the Maldives for at least the next 10 years: Bondaa
Former Member of Parliament Ibrahim Rasheed (Bondaa) stated that the government has lost public trust due to its failure to fulfill its promises, further asserting that it is unlikely President Dr. Muizzu will secure another term in office within the next decade.

Former Member of Parliament for Central Maafannu constituency, Ibrahim Rasheed (Bondaa), has stated that it is unlikely President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will secure the presidency of the Maldives for the next 10 years.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Rasheed stated that the President faced defeat even in islands with a significant PNC membership. He further noted that if President Muizzu wishes to seek re-election, there are numerous issues he must first address.
Highlighting that the most critical task is to fulfill outstanding pledges, Rasheed noted that the current administration has made grand promises regarding issues that the public had not even requested.
Rasheed stated that even if President Muizzu fulfills his pledges, it is unlikely he will secure the presidency of the Maldives within the next 10 years. He further asserted that the President currently lacks the support of the public.
The talk of a glass tunnel—who even suggested building one? That was something he brought up himself; it wasn't even an actual pledge. Furthermore, noting the public's growing dissatisfaction with the current administration, Rasheed stated that every citizen he encounters expresses the same sentiment: that they have had enough.
Rasheed stated that the public no longer places their trust in the current administration. Furthermore, he asserted that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will no longer receive the support of the Maldivian people.
