The people of Gaza are living in dire and desperate conditions due to the ongoing Israeli attacks. Despite various international efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, Israel continues to obstruct these relief operations.
The Isra Association, to which Zakat House has provided funds to aid the Palestinian people, is an organization actively working to provide relief to the residents of Gaza. The association has a history of delivering humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
Furthermore, the MVR 423,749 handed over to the Social Ministry's Social Trust Fund will be utilized to provide assistance to vulnerable individuals across the Maldives. According to the Ministry, these funds will be used to provide food security, medical treatment, and other essential living requirements for those in need.
Following the allocation of Fitr Zakat funds to support the people of Gaza and others in need, the distribution for those registered as poor and underprivileged has been completed for the year 1447 AH, with each individual receiving 6,000 Maldivian Rufiyaa.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has stated that this year marks the highest per capita distribution of Fitr Zakat ever recorded in the Maldives under an equitable distribution system.
