President Muizzu continues to deceive the public on numerous matters of critical importance: Ihusan
MDP National Congress member Mohamed Ihusan has accused the government of misleading the public regarding housing projects, citing the stalled housing units in Dhiggaru as a prime example of unfulfilled promises despite repeated pledges. Ihusan further alleged that the administration is merely feigning progress on these projects ahead of elections to gain political leverage rather than delivering genuine results.

Mohamed Ihusan, a member of the main opposition MDP’s National Congress, has accused President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of systematically deceiving the public regarding housing issues and other essential matters directly impacting the citizens.
Speaking on Raajje TV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Ihusan heavily criticized the current administration's policies. He stated that without exception, President Muizzu continues to distort the truth and make false promises regarding every issue of critical importance to the public.
Ihusan, who served as a Deputy Minister of Education during the previous MDP administration, cited the housing project in his native Dhiggaru constituency as a prime example of this issue. He noted that although the foundation stone for 75 housing units was laid in Dhiggaru ahead of the parliamentary elections, the project failed to see any practical progress, leaving the foundation stone to fall into disrepair.
In my constituency, specifically in Dhiggaru, the foundation for 75 housing units was laid just ahead of the parliamentary elections. However, despite the foundation stones deteriorating and crumbling away, no practical work ever commenced on those flats. That was in 2024, and now 2025 is drawing to a close. Recently, during a rally held in Dhiggaru, President Muizzu announced that he would construct an additional 75 housing units on top of the initial 75. At that point, the status and whereabouts of the original 75 units remained completely unknown.MDP National Congress Member Mohamed Ihusan
Ihusan alleged that with another election approaching, the government is attempting to create the illusion that the Dhiggaru housing project has commenced. He stated that according to information received, only two houses or flats are currently under construction on the island, describing it as a mere show for the public. He further predicted that this work would come to a halt before long.
Ihusan stated that the government's true policy is to deceive the public and keep them in a state of uncertainty with vague promises. He further alleged that the administration acts in this manner to mislead the people and achieve its own political objectives.
