President Muizzu officially designates "Kandaalifinolhu" in Haa Alif Atoll as part of the jurisdiction of Vashafaru island

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially designated "Kandaalifinolhu" in Haa Alifu Atoll as part of the administrative jurisdiction of Vashafaru in the same atoll.
The change was implemented on Thursday.
The President's Office stated that the President made this decision under the powers vested in him by Section 134(a) of Act No. 7/2010 (The Decentralization Act).
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially designated "Kandaalifinolhu" as part of the administrative jurisdiction of Vashafaru in Haa Alif Atoll, following a formal request from the residents of the island.
Following the enactment of this decree, the President has updated and published the official list of inhabited islands in the Maldives in the Government Gazette, as specified in the schedule of Presidential Decree No. 2/2025 (Determination of Inhabited Islands in the Maldives).
