PNC has inflicted nothing but hardship on the people of Ihavandhoo: Adnan Abdulla
Adnan further asserted that the PNC is built entirely on a foundation of deceit and corruption. He noted that this is clearly evidenced by the numerous projects the party has initiated across various islands, which have since stalled and failed to progress.

Adnan Abdulla, the former Chief Administrative Officer of Ihavandhoo, has stated that the ruling People's National Congress (PNC) has brought nothing but suffering to the people of the island.
In an interview with Raajje TV, Adnan stated that he intends to expose the People's National Congress (PNC) for its treatment of the Ihavandhoo community. Adnan noted that President Muizzu made numerous grand promises to the people of Ihavandhoo to secure the presidency, effectively misleading the public. He further emphasized that the President did not stop there, but continued to make a series of additional pledges to the residents during the parliamentary elections.
Adnan stated that every promise made by Muizzu has effectively fallen through. In contrast, he noted that the administration of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih governed the people with great compassion and sincerity.
Given that this is a fishing community, a plot of land on the northern side was designated for the construction of a fish processing factory. During a visit to the island, the Fisheries Minister assured us that the project had been finalized and the necessary funding had been secured. However, instead of utilizing those funds for the intended project, they merely brought in coral rubble and dumped it at the site. As a result, the entire island is now facing severe erosion.Adnan Abdulla, the former Chief of Ihavandhoo.
Highlighting that a significant portion of the land reclaimed for the people of Ihavandhoo during Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration has now been lost, Adnan stated that the PNC has inflicted such severe grievances upon the local community. Adnan further asserted that the PNC is built entirely on a foundation of deceit and corruption. He noted that this is clearly evidenced by the numerous projects the party has initiated across various islands, which have since stalled and failed to progress.
Furthermore, Adnan noted that the PNC would not secure any seats from Ihavandhoo this time. He emphasized that the community’s most pressing need is the hospital, a project initiated by the previous administration. Adnan alleged that during a ceremony held by the current government to relaunch it as a brand-new project, the agreement was signed on a blank piece of paper. Adnan claimed this was exposed when a gust of wind blew the paper away, allowing the public to see both sides of the blank sheet.
