One day remains for election re-registration; public urged to register promptly
The deadline for re-registration for the upcoming Local Council Elections, scheduled for April, will expire at 3:00 PM this Sunday. Alongside the council elections, a referendum is also set to be held to gather public opinion on synchronizing presidential and parliamentary elections.

The Elections Commission (EC) has urged the public to complete their re-registration as soon as possible, noting that only one day remains to re-register for the Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections.
The opportunity to re-register for the upcoming elections, scheduled for April 4, was opened on the 10th of this month.
With the deadline set for 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, the Elections Commission (EC) has urged voters to verify their current registration status and ensure they complete the re-registration process if necessary.
Alongside this election, a referendum is scheduled to be held to seek public opinion on the proposal to synchronize presidential and parliamentary elections.
Applications for re-registration can be submitted through the Elections Commission's 'Re-registration Portal' or via the 'My Portal' platform.
The Elections Commission has stated that when submitting re-registration forms online through the designated portal, applicants must provide a copy of a valid official identification document and a live photograph. Furthermore, applications via 'My Portal' can only be submitted using a verified eFaas account.
