The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has successfully conducted its door-to-door campaign activities in the North Galolhu constituency.
The event, held on Monday, was attended by Adam Azim, the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate for the Male' mayoral race, alongside the President of the Women's Development Committee and MDP candidates contesting for the North Galolhu constituency.
Speaking to RaajjeMom any sector who speaks favorably of the current administration, noting that the public continues to express dissatisfaction across the board. Azim added that given the government's poor performance, he is urging citizens to come out on April 4th to voice their disapproval and hold the administration accountable for its failures.
The failure of democracy is always reflected at the ballot box. Therefore, if the ballot box fails to bring change, I am forced to seek an alternative path. Currently, the cost of living has skyrocketed, essential medicines are unavailable, and housing promises remain unfulfilled. Furthermore, despite land being available for distribution in existing reclaimed areas, the government has stubbornly chosen to reclaim a distant lagoon, wasting immense resources. There is no reason to sustain or support a government that ignores the needs of its citizens and remains indifferent to the hardships they face. The people have already granted them the Presidency—even if through deception—and the Parliament as well. Why, then, should we hand them control of the Councils? The time has come to say no. We must declare that nothing has been achieved, nothing has improved, and our situation has only worsened significantly.Mayor Adam Azim
During the door-to-door campaign activities in the constituency, candidates met with the public to listen to their concerns. Furthermore, they provided residents with detailed briefings on the MDP's policies.
