RaajjeTV begins preparations to host Male' City Mayoral debate
RaajjeTV is preparing to host the upcoming Male' City Mayoral debate in late March, with invitations already extended to all five candidates. The station is currently working to ensure the event is conducted to a high standard.

RaajjeTV has commenced preparations to host a debate for candidates contesting the position of Male' City Mayor in the upcoming local council elections.
RaajjeTV’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Naazmee Saeed, has stated that final preparations are currently underway for the debate organized by the station. Naazmee noted that while invitations have been extended to all candidates contesting for the Male' City Mayoral seat, all but one candidate have accepted the invitation to participate so far.
The deadline to accept the invitation to participate in this debate is 16:00 on February 15, 2026.
Naazmee stated that the date for the debate will be finalized once the deadline for participation has expired.
"We are aiming to hold this debate in late March. The station is already making extensive preparations to ensure it is a comprehensive and successful event," Naazmee said.
She further noted that the debate format and procedural details will be finalized following consultations with the participants. RaajjeTV has a proven track record of successfully hosting high-profile debates, including "Rayyithunge Dharubaaru" and the MDP Chairperson election debate.
The candidates contesting for the position of Male' City Mayor are Adam Azim (MDP), Moosa Ali Jaleel (PNC), Ahmed Aiham (Independent), Ismail Zariyand (Independent), and Abdulla Mahzoom Maajid (MDA).
