Sh. Lhaimagu harbor development project is well underway, states Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
MTCC states that they have so far, completed 61 percent of the dredging operations of existing harbor channel.
Moreover, the installation of blocks required for quay wall construction and quay wall concrete works are also ongoing, says the company.
The Lhaimagu harbor project undertaken by MTCC consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 31,000cbm, construction of a 350m breakwater, a 276m quay wall, a 500m revetment, installation of 1,380sqm pavement, installation of navigation lights and streetlights.
The value of the project is MVR 53.1 million.
