Education Ministry has informed private preschools- who had opted not to reopen due to the H1N1 outbreak despite the Ministry’s decision to do so- to reconvene school sessions on Sunday.

Some preschools have decided to reopen after being asked to do so.

Previously, Dhondhooni Little Learners Preschool had informed parents that school will be closed till Thursday, March 30th.

However, a notice released by the school on Saturday said that classes will resume on Sunday, March 27, as previously informed by the Education Ministry.

RaajjeMV was unable to confirm a reason for the sudden change as officials from both the Ministry of Education and Dhondhooni Little Learners Preschool was not unavailable for a comment.

RaajjeMV understands some other private schools, who had previously decided not to reopen, are to open on Sunday as well.

Last Thursday, Ministry of Education announced that school sessions are to commence on Sunday, March 26, after being closed off for 10 days, due to the recent H1N1 outbreak.
