SUS goalkeeper Mirzokhid transfers to Maziya
Da Grande Sports Club’s midfielder Yafaadh Habeeb has signed with SUS
27-year-old Mirzokhid Mamatkhonov signed with SUS in November 2020
Super United Sports’ (SUS) goalkeeper Mirzokhid Mamatkhonov has transferred to Maziya Sports and Recreation Club.
Maziya announced this on Saturday, adding that the Uzbekistan goalkeeper has started joining their trainings for AFC Cup Asia group matches.
The 27-year-old player signed with SUS in November 2020. He had previously played for super teams under 23 in the Second Division including FC Nasaf Youth Club and in the Uzbekistan League.
SUS signed Mirzokhid to the team following a temporary reversal of a rule set by the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) in 2018, barring foreign goalkeepers from being selected to local football clubs.
While SUS lost its goalkeeper to Maziya, Da Grande Sports Club’s midfielder Yafaadh Habeeb has signed with the club.
SUS announced this at a ceremony held on Friday. The 28-year-old joined Da Grande in February 2019.
