Maziya cruises past TC for second straight league win
Maziya will look to continue their winning streak when they face Buru Sports Club in their next league fixture.

Reigning champions Maziya Sports and Recreation Club continued their strong start to the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League season with a dominant 3-0 victory over TC Sports Club on Wednesday night.

Maziya took control early in the match, opening the scoring just eight minutes in through Spanish striker Sergio Mendigutxia Iglesias. The team maintained pressure throughout the first half and doubled their lead just before the break, with forward Hassan Nazeem finding the net in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Maziya maintained their composure and control, eventually sealing the win in the closing stages. Promising young talent Mohamed Ilan Imran added a third goal in the 87th minute to complete the comprehensive win.

This result marks Maziya’s second consecutive league victory, having already defeated Eagles in their opening match. The team also claimed the season-opening Charity Shield with another win over Eagles and lifted the FAM League Cup earlier this year, further underlining their dominant form across domestic competitions.

Maziya will look to continue their winning streak when they face Buru Sports Club in their next league fixture.
