The Cabinet has decided to launch a five-year national project titled "The Joy of Respect – The Benefit of Society" to restore traditional Maldivian values and social ethics. To oversee the initiative, a nine-member steering committee has been established, and the government has further designated an annual "National Respect Day" to promote these core principles across the community.
