Fathimath Ali, who was arrested in connection with the case
A woman has been arrested in connection with a case of robbery in the congested capital, Malé City.
The arrested individual has been identified as Fathimath Ali, 37 and native to Malé City.
Fathimath Ali was arrested in connection with a case where a Bangladeshi national was lured to a house in Galolhu, Malé on October 30 at around 10:08pm, and robbed at knifepoint.
When presented to the court for her remand hearing, the court ordered Fathimath Ali to be remanded for 15 days behind bars.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is currently seeking a Maldivian man suspected of involvement in the robbery and aiding Fathimath Ali.
Further investigations are currently ongoing in connection with the case.
