One person was left trapped inside a car following the crash
A dangerous accident in Fuvahmulah City on Saturday has left two people dead.
Fuvahmulah Hospital has confirmed the news of their passing to Raajje MV.
The accident took place at around 430pm on Saturday, on Naibuthuhthu Magu of Fuvahmulah City's Funaadu ward. One person had been taken to hospital immediately after the crash, and was pronounced dead at 450pm.
The other person, who was trapped within a car following the crash, had been extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital as well. This person was confirmed to have passed away at around 5pm by Fuvahmulah Hospital.
