Club Eagle's Coach Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan) has said that the team is under massive pressure from all sides as they are currently at the bottom of the point-table for the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League (DDPL).

Club Eagles won second place in the DDPL last season, but have been stuck at the bottom of the league table this season. Eagles have not been able to score a win in any of the four matches they have played this season.

Speaking to the press before Saturday evening's game with United Victory (UV), Club Eagles' Coach Mohan said that this was the poorest performance by an Eagles team in recent years, and that they were currently under massive pressure to do well in the upcoming match. Mohan said while odds were stacked against team Eagles, they were doing their utmost to rise up from their current disadvantage.

Mohan added that Eagles' performance was deteriorating every day, and that experienced players on the team needed to show leadership in these difficult times. He also highlighted that the team had been suffering because of injuries, and that players needed to rally and support one another to help achieve favorable results.

Speaking to the media before Saturday's face-off, UV Coach Mohamed Adam said that he did not believe they could present a strong team against Eagles based on their current performance.

He explained that UV would be challenging Eagles with a team short of seven starting players as two of UV's defenders Yaseen Firaq and Adil Abdul Rahman sustained injuries in their most recent match against TC Sports Club.

Commenting on Team Eagles, UV Coach Adam said that their only advantage was that the current Eagles squad had more experience playing together as a team, and while both teams were facing difficulties due to injuries, the UV team was more disadvantaged as their squad consists of players who joined the club recently.

However, he noted that he did not believe Eagles would be able to challenge them much during Saturday's game based on their current performance in the league.

While UV has also not been able to score a win in the league thus far, they managed to draw in two of the four games they played and are currently two points ahead of Eagles at the second-to-last position on the table.

Club Eagles will play United Victory in the DDPL at 4pm on Saturday.
