SAFF makes changes to scoring format for Under-18 championship
 
Sri Lanka will not be competing in the championship
 
The national team is currently being trained by Mohamed Shaazleen, who used to be the coach for BG Sports Club and Victory
 
The Under-18 SAFF Championship will kick off on 18th September and will continue until the 27th

The South Asian Football Federation has decided that their regional championship for under-18 teams of member nations will go forth in the league format.

The decision was made given that a lesser number of teams will be competing in the championship this year. 

The Under-18 SAFF Championship will kick off on 18th September and will continue until the 27th.

The national team is currently being trained by Mohamed Shaazleen, who used to be the coach for BG Sports Club and Victory.

Maldives is in Group-B, along with India and Nepal while Bangladesh and Bhutan are in Group-A.

Sri Lanka will not be competing in the championship.
