Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested two individuals in connection to a case of gang violence in Rathafandhoo island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll.

The incident was reported to the police at the 2:30am on Wednesday.

Arrested in connection to the gang violence are two Maldivian men, aged 21 and 28 respectively.

Following the violent altercation between the groups, two individuals were treated at the Rathafandhoo Health Center and Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo island of the same atoll, for injuries.

The case is under further investigations, revealed police, who did not disclose further details.
