The People’s Majlis has approved the appointment of Mohamed Nasih as the President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

68 parliamentarians who took part in the last sitting of the second parliament session of the ongoing year voted in favor.

Nasih, who also served as the Secretary General of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission previously, has over 28 years of experience in the management field and has also studied Masters’ of Engineering.

Parliament also approved the appointment of Ibrahim Rasheed as the commission’s Vice President with 68 votes in favor.

Rasheed attained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mysore and has over 10 years of experience in the management field.

Other members currently remaining in the commission are Mohamed Farshath and Fathmath Shareef, all four members took oath of office on Thursday.

Fathmath Amira is also a member of CSC, the commission consists of five members.
