Tree Top Hospital is set to resume normal services from July 1 onwards.
In an announcement revealing the decision, the hospital revealed that they will be open for general services from the beginning of July.
Prior to opening the hospital for general services, they have conducted decontamination and preventative cleaning programs at the premises and they are to implement a number of measures in accordance with the international safety standards to ensure the safety and protection of their employees and consumers.
The hospital has given assurance that decontamination and preventative cleaning programs will continue.
Arrivals will be screened for high temperatures at the entrance and inquired on their travel history as well as other relevant information.
Individuals have also been urged to use surgical face masks when visiting the hospital to acquire services.
Patients who arrive for out-patient consultation will be taken to the flu clinic should they exhibit flu-like symptoms, said the hospital, which also urged to maintain social and physical distancing.
Tree Top Hospital will resume OPD services, flu clinic services as well as telemedicine consultation from 10am to 8pm.
The services will not be available on Fridays.
Emergency Room services will be available on a round-the-clock basis and will open for services on July 2.
Individuals have been requested to reach out through 3351610 for appointments and 1610 for ambulance services, which is also available on a round-the-clock basis.
The 180-bed capacity hospital was converted into the national Covid-19 treatment center after an agreement with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on April 26 and the hospital made the announcement via a press conference on May 1.
Tree Top Hospital’s “expert multi-disciplinary team” of doctors, medical officers, specialists and nurses have been working on a round-the-clock basis to care for the Covid-19 patients in various stages of the virus, the hospital earlier said.
Expressing pride in the team’s “tireless efforts” working in the front-lines to provide “quality” healthcare as part of the national response, Tree Top had expressed gratitude to all government stakeholders especially the Ministry of Health, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG), Covid-19 Management Advisory Team and IGMH for their cooperation and assistance to the hospital’s efforts.
