Maldives reports 16 new Covid-19 cases, 15 recoveries
The new cases include eight locals, seven Bangladeshis and one Indian national

A total of 1,803 patients have recovered from the viru

16 new Covid-19 cases have been reported on Sunday, as well as 15 additional recoveries.

As per the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases include eight locals, as well as seven Bangladeshis and one Indian national.

This brings the country’s Covid-19 case count to 2,203.

With the additional recoveries, a total of 1,803 patients have recovered from the virus.

There are currently 387 active cases in the country, and two patients are on ventilators.

While Maldives’ first Covid-19 cases were confirmed from a resort on March 7, a community transmission was detected on April 15th.
