Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a search for the individuals involved in the dispute near the Hulhulé ferry port on Thursday.

While one individual was arrested at the scene a little past 1pm on Thursday, officers had arrived at the scene after the CCTV camera spotted a clash among a crowd.

Arrested was a Maldivian man, however, the police have not revealed a reason that sparked the dispute.

As investigations are underway, police continue to search for the remaining individuals who were involved in the clash.

A video has since been circulating on social media, showing a clashing crowd and a number of people having gathered at the scene before two police officers made an appearance.
