Covid-19: WHO donates 10,000 more testing kits to the Maldives
The organization has donated a total of 21,000 testing kits to the island nation thus far

Health Minister Ameen thanked WHO’s representative to the Maldives, Dr. Mathur, for the assistance

Maldives has received has additional 10,000 testing kits from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The organization has donated a total of 21,000 testing kits to the island nation thus far, and said that this will be increased in the future.

Further, WHO also donated personal protective equipment to the Maldives including gowns, gloves, facemasks and faces shields.

Following this, Health Minister Abdulla Ameen thanked WHO’s representative to the Maldives, Dr. Arvind Mathur, for the assistance provided in Maldives’ Covid-19 responses efforts, during a virtual call on Monday.

The minister also appreciated the WHO regional office’s assistance during the World Health Assembly (WHA73), held virtually on Monday.
