An additional eight Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives.
This was announced at an emergency press conference held at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) at around 1:45am on Thursday, where Health Minister Abdulla Ameen confirmed the country’s first Covid-19 related death.
With the two new cases, the country’s total Covid-19 case count reaches 280.
