Two more Covid-19 patients hospitalized in Maldives, incl. a Pakistani national

There are currently three patients hospitalized with Covid-19.

This was revealed at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)’s daily press conference, on Monday night.

While an 80-year-old Maldivian man has been admitted at DH11 at Dharumavantha Hospital since April 21 for close monitoring, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed that two others have since been hospitalized as well.

As such, he said that a 48-year-old Pakistani man and 68-year-old Maldivian woman have also been admitted at the hospital.

However, he said that only the Pakistani man needs oxygen treatment currently.

The 80-yo man was hospitalized shortly after testing positive for Covid-19, with authorities revealing that he had been bedridden for two years after suffering a stroke, when he contracted the virus.
