An additional 12 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
This was revealed during the daily Covid-19 press conference at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), on Friday.
Speaking there, spokesperson of the Covid-19 taskforce said that these are 60 Maldivians and 68 foreigners. Eight new cases were reported earlier on Friday.
Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed details of cases 111 through 117 at tonight’s press conference, adding that the 11 of the cases were confirmed ‘right before the conference started’.
- Case 111: Indian national (26 contacts identified, tracing still underway)
- Case 112: 4-year-old girl, Sri Lankan national
- Case 113: Woman
- Case 114: Woman, 60 (contact of case 73)
- Case 115: Bangladeshi national (contact of previously confirmed case, already in isolation)
- Case 116: Bangladeshi national (contact of previously confirmed case, already in isolation)
- Case 117: 12-year-old boy, child of Cases 28 and 31
