16 employees living in Ihsaan Fihaara accomodation quarters
Two Bangladeshi workers from the shop are among the confirmed Covid-19 cases on Monday

While authorities earlier revealed that two Bangladeshi workers from Ihsaan Fihaara (shop) have tested positive for Covid-19, it has been revealed that a total of 16 people reside in their accommodation quarters.
The shop’s managing director, Ahmed Nihaad, revealed this during a phone call on RaajjeTV’s ongoing coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Noting that there are four rooms in the accommodation quarters provided for their employees, Nihad said that he estimates that a total of 16 workers reside there.
Further, Nihad stated that those involved in deliveries are volunteers. Noting that there are about 20 volunteers, he said that they took the necessary precautionary measures while doing deliveries including wearing masks.
The managing director also thanked all employees at the shop for their hard work.
A total of 15 Covid-19 cases were confirmed on Monday; nine Maldivians, two Bangladeshi and four Indian nationals.
Following two employees at Ihsaan shop testing positive, Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof tweeted that all volunteers at the shop have gone into self-isolation.
