Covid-19: 73 persons under quarantine released
 
A total of 723 people have registered at the Job Centre.
 
Travel restrictions have been lifted from four resorts and 15 safaris
 
There are a total of 809 people are under quarantine

73 persons under quarantine have been released.

This was revealed by the spokesperson for the government's Covid-19 taskforce, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz during the National Emergency Operations Centre's (NEOC) daily press briefing held on Sunday night.

As such, there are a total of 809 people currently under quarantine at various facilities designated by the government, said Mabrook, adding that samples have been collected from another 187 people on Sunday while work is underway to take samples from an additional 43 people.

Moreover, he stated that travel restrictions have been lifted from four resorts and 15 safaris and that staff have been allowed to disembark. They are;

  • Malahini Kuda Bandos Resort
  • Brennia Kottefaru Resort
  • Stella 2
  • Hamathi
  • Conte Max
  • Over Reef
  • Sea Coral Voyage Maldives
  • Magic Land Maldives
  • Thea Safari
  • Assida Safari
  • Leo
  • Noah Safari
  • Stella 1
  • Enzis Facility
  • Soleil 1
  • Princess Noor
  • Maldives Mosaique

Additionally, Mabrook disclosed that a total of 723 people have registered at the Job Centre. This number consists of;

  • Self-employed: 58
  • Unfair dismissal: 185
  • Wage cuts: 113
  • Forced no-pay leaves: 245
  • Unfair suspension: 64
  • Wage cut by half: 72
  • Wages cut to basic salary: 44

Moreover, a special clinic for the elderly has also been established on the third floor of Dharumavantha Hospital. OPD services at the clinic will be available from 9am to 1pm and will not require a prior appointment, said Mabrook.

He also stated that there a total of 23 flu clinics around the country, that has attended to a total of 5959 people, thus far. 142 people have been attended to in the past 24 hours.
