Chairman of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council pays calls on President Solih

The Chairman of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Lord Jonathan Marland has paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

During the call held on Thursday afternoon at the President's Office, Lord Marland commended the Maldives' return to the Commonwealth while offering support and assistance in various areas such as finance, trade and investments.

Discussions also touched on avenues of collaboration to develop a blue economy.

Further, President Solih recognised the close ties and support provided through Commonwealth membership and reiterated the country's revived commitment to building stronger relations with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council.

The Maldives’ readmittance into the Commonwealth was officially confirmed on February 1st.
