Tourist killed in capsized boat accident

A tourist has been killed in a capsized boat accident near Dh. Kuda Huvadhoo due to rough seas.
According to the Maldives Police Service, they received the reports of the overturned boat at 04:10 pm on Sunday. At the time, the boat has six men on board which included two Maldivians and four foreigners.
The Swedish tourist was being treated at Kulhudhuhfushi regional hospital when he succumbed to his injuries and passed away, said authorities.
According to initial findings by the police, it seems the boat capsized when it hit a reef.
