The Ministry of Finance is to present the proposed state budget for 2020 to parliament before the end of the week.
Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer said that the proposed state budget for the coming year will be submitted to Majlis before October 31, assuring that it will be done before the required date.
As mandated by law, 31st of October, which falls on a Thursday this year, is the deadline for proposing the state budget for every year.
The proposed budget must consist of the upcoming year’s estimated expenditure and profit, as well details of the previous year’s financial records.
