State termination of GA atoll airport contract lawful
 
Moving International free to file for compensation.
 
State's termination of the airport development lease to Moving International was in accordance to procedure, Judge rules.

The State’s termination of its agreement with local company Moving International was lawful, the Civil Court ruled on Sunday.

Judge Mohamed Haleem, who presided over case filed by Moving International, ruled that the State’s termination was in accordance to procedure.

The state-owned Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) had leased Maavaralu island in Gaaf Alif Atoll to develop a domestic to Moving International 27th June, 2011.

Judge Haleem’s verdict also said that the company reserves the right to file a further case if it believes compensation is due.
