Defending champions, TC Sports Club is out of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, after losing to Mohun Bagan on Wednesday.

TC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mohun Bagan, in the tournament ongoing in at the M. A. Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

It took just four minutes for Mohun Bagan to take the lead in the game, with a goal by Daniel Cyrus.

The teams went into halftime with the Indian team leading 1-0.

Not long after the second half began, Bagan’s Salvador Perez Martinez secured the teams second goal at the 64th minute.

While TC Sports played a strong game for the remainder of the second half, Mohun Bagan remained in control and knocked out the defending champions.

This was TC Sports Club’ second match in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, having lost to Bangladesh’s Chittagong with a 4-1 score.

TC Sports in Group A with Mohun Bagan, Chittagong Abahani and Young Elephants FC. Group B consists of Bashundhara Kings, Chennai City FC, Gokulam Kerala FC and Terengganu FC.

The Maldivian team is in fourth place in the group with zero points, while Chittagong Abahani leads with six points. Both Mohun Bagan and Young Elephants have three points.

TC’s will face Laos’ Young Elephants FC on Friday.

TC Sports Club won the 2017 Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, after beating South Korea’s FC Pocheon.
