The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has begun investigating the Chief Magistrate of Magoodhoo island of Faafu Atoll, Abdul Sattar Sulaiman.
Investigations began following a case submitted against him, however, details have not been divulged yet.
The case against Chief Magistrate Sulaiman was submitted at the 66th meeting of the commission on Tuesday.
This comes at the time the commission has begun investigations into cases involving several judges including Criminal Court Judge Hassan Najeeb, Civil Court Judge Hassan Faheem and two other judges.
