Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted with the preparation of sub base for football pitches in three islands.

At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment on Monday, Minister Ahmed Mahloof signed on behalf of the company while CEO of MTCC Hassan Shah signed on behalf of MTCC.

The company is tasked with building a sub base for football pitches in Dhuvaarafu island of Raa atoll, Hulhudhoo district in Addu City and Villingili island in Gaaf Alif atoll.

The development project is estimated to cost close to MVR 7,500,000, revealed MTCC.

Under the agreement, the company is required to complete the project within 60 days from the day of commencement.
