ADK Hospital provided treatment for 61 individuals affected by the fire on Friday.
The hospital’s Managing Director Ahmed Affaal revealed that although they were reached for aid at 09:20pm on Friday, the hospital had been alerted and activated an immediate action plan at a few minutes after the fire broke out close to 7:30pm.
They were treated for smoke inhalation, minor injuries and trauma, said Affaal.
While 61 individuals were treated, there are two people currently admitted for treatment.
Further, Affaal stated that the toxic fumes from the fire had reached the hospital that night following which they had to move patients on the top floors to a safer place.
Affaal said that those affected by the fire that took down four warehouses and six houses on Abadhah Fehi Magu on Friday, were transferred to the hospital on stretchers and wheelchairs, for convenience.
Highlighting that a lot of support was received from the civilians, Affaal expressed gratitude for the immense cooperation the public had given.
