Statistics show that licenses of eight drivers were withheld due to last week’s accidents.
Five people were injured in the accidents while 28 drivers were fined for violating traffic regulations and 41 drivers were fined for exceeding the speed limit. The police also penalized four minors.
Also, according to last week’s statistics, the police searched 262 vehicles, issued 472 parking tickets, and towed 162 vehicles.
51 taxi drivers were penalized for violating regulations and 27 people were fined for not wearing helmets.
