The Fairoadhi fishing vessel’s crew has responded to reports of the boat going missing, after confirming that it had not. 

The crew told RaajjeMV on Friday that the boat had travelled 80-miles off of Gaafaru island in Kaafu atoll, and had thus, with their telecommunications having been out of range, and that they had told their families to report them missing if they had not returned by 22:30 on the 10th of March. 

Though the crew confirmed that it had returned close enough to contact the island, the vessel was reported missing on Saturday to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). 

The MNDF has since affirmed that the vessel was not missing.

The Fahiroadhi is a 15-member fishing boat.
