‘Noor’- a supply boat that was reported missing near Robinson Club Maldives Resort has been located.

While the boat was docked near the Gaafu Alifu atoll resort, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)’s Maritime Rescue Coordination Center said that it was reported missing at around 7:10am on Sunday.

A team from MNDF’s Southern Area Coastguard Squadron was dispatched there immediately, and the 75-foot boat was located at around 10:36am near Hirufushi island in the same atoll.

MNDF said that no one was reported missing, and that employees at the resort are to have told them that the boat was docked there at around 2am on Sunday.

It added that they had noticed ‘Noor’ was missing at around 5:30am.

Maldives is currently experiencing heavy rainfall in various parts of the country.
