Upon the conclusion of his tour across Southernmost Addu and Fuvahmulah cities, Vice President Faisal Naseem has returned to capital city Malé on Sunday night.
Some of the visits he undertook during the tours include the visit to the Health Center in Addu City Hulhumeedhoo where he also toured the ongoing road development project.
Further, he had visited some important sites and facilities on Hithadhoo island including the regional hospital, schools and the island’s powerhouse.
In Fuvahmulah, VP Naseem visited important landmarks and facilities like the Atoll Education Center, schools, hospitals and inspected road development projects.
In addition, Naseem met senior members from the institutions in the city and discussed their concerns, the progress they have made and made several suggestions for future prospects.
During his visit to the Fuvahmulah hospital, Naseem inquired the patients on their health issues for which they’re seeking treatment at the hospital.
Also during the trip, the Vice President met councilors from both cities respectively.
During separate meetings, the councilors discussed current issues and challenges they face in the socio-economic progress of the region.
Discussions were also held on how the councilors may conduct future development projects for the betterment of their constituents.
While Naseem’s tour across both cities aimed at observing the process of development in the cities, he was accompanied by Minister of Health, Abdulla Ameen and Minister of Environment, Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan.
