With over a thousand participants, Ooredoo Maldives has successfully concluded its color run.

As such, 2,000 participants of all age groups had taken part in Ooredoo's entertaining event, held in southernmost Addu City with a splash of fun colors.

The local telecommunications provider’s Assistant Manager of Public Relations Noora Ibrahim Zahir revealed that the event was a massive success and that it received immense public praise.

Noora had gone on to express her gratitude for the partners of the event who were behind its success, following the successive tweets where participants posted pictures and videos of the event, in which Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof also participated.

The run, which started from Hithadhoo’s stage area at 03:30pm on Friday, ended at 6pm.

Special recreational activities also proceeded in the southernmost city from 8am to 10am on Friday, with kite flying and designing workshops and several other activities.

While there was no specific time set to finish the run, participants had concluded the run while walking and jogging as well.

In order to make it more exciting, Ooredoo had conferred prizes for those who showed up in creative costumes as well as the ones who finished first.

This is the first time Ooredoo is hosting the run in an outlying atoll. Ooredoo stated that it will be hosting another color run this time in capital city Malé, adding that it aims to host color runs across as many outlying islands as possible.
