The Faafu Atoll Council has shared their most urgent concerns with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The meeting was held at the President’s Office where members of the council discussed the most urgent issues faced by residents of Faafu Atoll.
The concerns include the interruption to the ferry system and the lack of a domestic airport which has led to the stunted growth of the atoll’s tourism industry.
President Solih assured the council members that he will discuss the concerns with the relevant ministries and officials and also shared information on some of the discussed projects and developments.
President Solih has been meeting with island and atoll councils to hear their concerns since assuming office.
