Kanditheemu MP Abdul Shaheem Abdul Hakeem has said that former President Abdulla Yameen has swindled the nation and that justice can only be established once he is punished.

Speaking at Tuesday’s sitting, MP Shaheem said that Yameen needs to be brought to justice since he is linked to all the important cases.

Highlighting that the responsibility of the Vice President is to follow the President, MP Shaheem said that ending corruption cases at the level of vice president is not enough, since the source of the current state of the nation is Yameen and his wife, former first lady Fathimath Ibrahim.

He also said that Yameen’s accomplices should also be brought to justice since they had spread fear and suspicion in the country.
